Hello Bruce,
While I didn't test this series yet, as discussed, I've tried to switch
to 6.4 by default. I got this warning:

We have BSPs that require HID support for drivers, and they will warn when building a -tiny variant. Introducing a HID base fragment so they can share the enabling of these options as required.
