Lukas Bulwahn - June 26, 2014, 2:56 p.m.
Since commit 783fb88f@openembedded-core, out-of-tree builds of
cmake-based recipes are the default, and the variables
OECMAKE_BUILDPATH and OECMAKE_SOURCEPATH were deprecated.

With the commit 2c23d7ab@openembedded-core, the variable
OECMAKE_SOURCEPATH was put back into action, but this causes the
libeigen recipe to fail as OECMAKE_SOURCEPATH is set in the
recipe, but OECMAKE_BUILDPATH is set to the bbclass default.

This commit simply removes both variables from the libeigen recipe
and hence sets the recipe to do a default out-of-tree build.
This resolves the build failure of libeigen with
2c23d7ab@openembedded-core, and furthermore, the adjusted recipe
still works with the cmake.bbclass of 783fb88f@openembedded-core.

The build failure was discovered during the regression testing of
the meta-ros layer. The exact build error message and its
investigation is recorded in issue #276 of the meta-ros issue
tracker at https://github.com/bmwcarit/meta-ros/issues/276.

Hi,

I'm back building Java 7 for Arm. (what about Java 8?)

I took poky and checkout Daisy.
After building core-image-minimal :) , I take meta-java, openembedded-core and meta-openembedded ... and configure local.conf and bblayers.conf as written here : https://github.com/woglinde/meta-java

When I bitbake java-test-image I've got the error:
ERROR: ExpansionError during parsing /home/me/poky/meta-openembedded/meta-oe/recipes-navigation/gpsd/gpsd_3.7.bb: Failure expanding variable do_fetch[file-checksums], expression was ${@bb.fetch.get_checksum_file_list(d)} which triggered exception MalformedUrl: The URL: '${SAVANNAH_GNU_MIRROR}/gpsd/gpsd-3.7.tar.gz' is invalid and cannot be interpreted

I've add it in bitbake.conf ... and I bitbake java-test-image again.
:)

I've got the error : :(

Hi,

Is it a configuration error ? (...wget bug ?)

I am under a virtualized Ubuntu server 12.04.

Thanks
Daniel.

No,

might be an error related to the openssl heartblead bug. You can try to download the zip file manually.

Yes, it's better (seems I have done it before without result ... but ok now)

Hm,

maybee a race condition when making parallel builds. Can you run it with a couple of times with bitbake -k whatever?

Hello,

Up ...
Still have the problem :(
I don't find any web information about the it :(

Thanks,
Daniel.
MONDON Daniel - July 7, 2014, 9:30 a.m.
Hi,

I've found some people with the same problem, but not the same solution to me :(

log4j compile ok.
log4j-native has the same error (joined)

gnumail, gnujaf, gnumail-native and gnujaf-native compile ok.

I'm under Ubuntu 12.04 64b server (virtual).

Thanks
Daniel.

Hi,

I'm trying to identify the problem ...

Building one by one, I've got some problems: (more than only this)
ERROR: commons-cli: Recipe file does not have license file information (LIC_FILES_CHKSUM)
ERROR: Licensing Error: LIC_FILES_CHKSUM does not match, please fix
ERROR: Function failed: do_qa_configure

ERROR: Task 7 (/home/me/poky/meta-java/recipes-core/jakarta-commons/commons-cli_1.1.bb, do_configure) failed with exit code '1'

Is it the root reason ?

Thanks
Daniel.

For the native icedtea build libstdc++ dev library is missing as the log says.

Is it the right version ?

Sorry I can not look at your computer, but it should match the g++ you are using.

g++ has a nice option which is called --version, which will tell you the version.

I change g++ from 4.6 to 4.8.

http://askubuntu.com/questions/372248/downloaded-g-4-8-but-cant-set-it-as-default

both errors are ok now!

It is currently running openjdk-7-jre compilation :)

It is necessary under Ubuntu 12.04 ...

Thanks

Hi,

Confirmation!

To build java under Ubuntu 12.04, the default compilator version 4.6 must be change.
I succeed with V4.8.

Thanks
